QUINTAL NO. 7 - DEC. 2021

The geisha variety is one of the most recognized varieties in specialty coffee. In particular, geishas from Panamá are the most sought after coffees in the world with prices per pound reaching into the hundreds if not thousands of dollars at auction. To end the year on a bright note, we got our hands on a Panamá geisha that exhibits all the characteristics that made geisha world famous: jazmin, lemon, apricot, rose-apple, all in a well rounded and balanced format.

The first geisha in Quintal Subscription comes from finca La Fortuna - Cafetalera Fernandez in Boquete, Panamá. The Fernandez family has been in the coffee industry since 1914, managing to keep their production going for three generations and for over 100 years.

This month’s coffee is about experiencing the unique floral notes that a Panama geisha can deliver.
