Hi! My name is Eduardo Umaña

Would you bite into an apple that was picked from a tree a very long time ago? It might still look fresh, but it is going to be missing all the true and satisfying flavors an apple should have. The same is true for coffee. It might look fresh, but did you know that most green coffee is roasted several months or even years after harvest?

My name is Eduardo, and I am a coffee entrepreneur from Colombia. A few years ago, I started to wonder why the coffee that I purchased back home in Colombia tasted fresher.

After doing some research, I made the biggest discovery of my career: much like an old apple, the coffee that you purchase in the U.S. is picked from a tree too long ago to offer peak freshness and flavor.

That's why I started Origin Roasted; we roast freshly harvested coffee directly in producing countries to deliver the full spectrum of flavors that fresh coffee should offer.
