Quintal No. 11 - APR ‘22

For Quintal No. 11 we are bringing our first coffee from Honduras. We selected a coffee with the profile that has made Quintal well liked amongst our customer base. Unique sweetness, round body, and soft acidity to keep the cup interesting.

Together, the pacas and obata variety give notes to blackberry, orange, and cashew. When processed with the natural method, where the flesh of the coffee fruit is left in contact with the bean for a prolonged amount of time, we get an amazing profile that achieves the round sweetness and soft acidity that we were looking for.

Rosy Dariela Mancia and her husband Roy take care of farm Guayabina in Mercedes, Honduras. At only 1.7 hectare, they are detailed oriented–carefully picking their own coffee, selecting the cherries, and processing them with their own equipment. This power couple then sends their coffee for roasting to a cooperative that they also help to run in administrative roles. From tree to cup, Quintal No. 11 is about tasting the fruits of good, smart labour.
